Dr. Carrica was born and raised in the small rural community of Grants, New Mexico. After serving several years in the United States Army and Army National Guard, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science from Washington State University and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 1999.
After practicing in Albuquerque for a short time, he joined Amigo Animal Clinic in 2000 and became an owner in 2005. He enjoys working with dogs, cats, farm animals and camelids. His special interests lie in horse dentistry, lameness and community education.
When not at work Dominic enjoys time with his wife Beryl, their three children Garrett, Anne, and Jack and the family’s pets Pablo, Gummy Bear, and Santiago.
