Dr. Gitchell is originally from Ripley, Tennessee. She was raised on a small beef cattle farm and participated in FFA which sparked her interest in veterinary medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from The University of Tennessee at Martin in 2019.
She then moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to attend the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her DVM degree in 2023.
She has a golden retriever named Knox after her favorite city and for her favorite team. When Dr. Gitchell isn’t working on Saturdays, you will find her watching the Tennessee Volunteers play football! She also enjoys road trips, camping, hiking, and anything on the water. She is looking forward to exploring all the things Colorado has to offer as well as caring for your pets!
